Walking Upright From Day One

In every tummy tuck performed, thanks to the advanced surgical techniques employed, the patient is encouraged to walk fully upright from the moment of discharge. Recovery is dramatically accelerated, and the lower scar remains free of tension — healing inconspicuously in the vast majority of cases.

The RAFT Technique

This technique grafts fat inside the muscle bellies of the rectus abdominis, performed in surgeries where we want to enhance the volume of these muscles, making them more apparent. In a recent study conducted by Dr. Gustavo with renowned colleagues, results proved durable even one year after the procedure — and completely safe. A small amount of fat is collected with fine cannulas, prepared and placed inside the muscles to add volume.

Multiple Plication — Muscle Repair

The muscle wall must be carefully evaluated during consultation, through physical examination and high-definition ultrasound. This allows us to identify muscle separation (diastasis), defects in the muscle wall (hernias), and to assess the wall's ability to contain the pressure of internal organs and visceral fat. Only with a correct diagnosis can we perform the appropriate plications (sutures) — vertical, horizontal and oblique advancements — to reposition the musculature so it becomes functional and beautiful.

Dr. Gustavo is recognized worldwide for his navel technique in abdominoplasty. Developed over years, it leaves the scar completely inconspicuous after healing, with adequate size and shape. The result is a predictable navel — often impossible to recognize as operated after 3 months.

Low, High-Quality Scar — Pollock Fixation Points

A low scar makes all the difference when wearing certain clothes and swimwear. Our technique uses fixation points that anchor the skin in its new position against the muscle, reducing tension on the lower scar to almost zero. Renuvion represents an evolution in the application of heat to tissues, offering control never before achieved with minimally invasive methods. The device is inserted beneath the skin and activated in a retrograde manner: as it advances through the tissues, helium plasma delivers heat in two simultaneous ways — through direct contact with the plasma and through the radiofrequency energy flowing toward the tissues.

Most of the energy is directed to the network of fibrous septa, maximizing tissue contraction. The technology rapidly reaches the subdermal planes with maximum heat retraction, while reducing thermal diffusion to the skin surface. On average, it contributes 20 to 30% tissue contraction, depending on the treated area and collagen quality.
